MESSAGE FROM THE BISHOP PATRICK'S OFFICE

In the light of the deterioration in his health, Father John was willing to offer  the Bishop his resignation in a conversation they had  on Friday 2 February. This has enabled the Bishop  to appoint Father David Cain as parish priest of Saint Joseph’s parish, alongside his roles as parish priest of Our Lady of Good Counsel, and of Sacred Heart and Saint Margaret Mary.  Father Prince will be the assistant priest in each of the three parishes also.

 The Bishop thanked Fr John for his almost 23 years of very generous ministry in St Joseph's and assured him that he may remain in the presbytery.
